The North American Blueberry Council was founded in 1965 to serve the blueberry industry. The NABC is a voluntary organization with responsibilities that differ from those of the USHBC. The NABC was instrumental in the founding of the USHBC in 2000.

What’s The Difference Between The USHBC And The NABC?

The USHBC is in charge of market development and research activities. The North American Blueberry Council is the voice for the blueberry industry and advocates for the industry with government decision makers.

How The NABC Serves The Blueberry Industry

The NABC serves many important duties, including:

  • Providing statistical and crop data
  • Overseeing the Industry Issue Response Plan
  • The Cold Storage Report
  • Legislative, executive, and regulatory interface and industry liaison with governmental decision makers
  • Bringing issues facing the industry to legislators
